We're looking for Instructors!!!

Come Work At Bryce Bike Park

TakeAim Cycling is looking for coaches for the 2025 season at Bryce Bike Park with potential to expand coaching into other areas, or year round.

Are you a mountain bike coach or passionate rider who loves spreading the joys of mountain biking? Then we want you to come work with us!

Perks of coaching at Bryce Bike Park:

  • The joy of helping others improve their mountain biking skills.

  • Progression in your coaching and riding skills through direct mentorship from advanced coaches.

  • Season pass at Bryce Bike Park for your own personal use. (A minimum coaching obligation is required.)

  • Industry discounts on gear.

  • Pay based on experience and quantity of lessons you teach. Appearance fee plus hourly rate for lessons taught. $15-$40hr depending on experience.

  • Reimbursement program for certifications and continuing education.

Who are we looking for?

  • A motivated, self-starter who's passionate about instruction and their own skill development.

  • Able to work a minimum of two months of the season. Late April-Mid November.

  • Able to work minimum of 2 days a month.

  • Level 1 and Level 2 GSMBC / PMBIA or BICP coaches. NICA coaches will be considered. No experience? We will consider training the right person!

  • Ready to instruct 5 years old to older adults.

  • Level 1 coaches will begin by instructing "Intro to Mountain Bike" lessons in a Downhill Bike Park setting. Your coaching opportunities will grow as you gain experience and training.

  • Level 2 coaches will instruct according to experience and comfort levels - jumps, drops, and advanced technique.

  • Must be comfortable in a bike park environment.

  • Must have equipment appropriate for bike park: quality longer travel bike, full face helmet, appropriate protective pads.

  • Must be at least16 years of age and a strong-intermediate to advanced rider. At a minimum, must be able to comfortably ride Blue Trails and work your way down some Black Trails. Be able to teach braking, body position, and trail scanning at a minimum. You do not need to be an amazing rider who can jump and drop everything; strong communication and observation skills count for a lot.

Job Description:

  • Operate in a professional manner with the goal of providing safe, fun and effective lessons to clients. A coach must always have the intention to help the client progress towards their goals while being considerate of their client's particular needs and safety.

    • New and Level 1 coaches will teach 1.5hr "Intro to Bike Park" lessons with groups of up to 5 people.

    • Experienced Level 1 and Level 2 coaches will teach "Intro to Bike Park" lessons as well as individual and private lessons according to their comfort and skill level. Must be able to confidently manage 2hr lessons.

    • Perform thorough bike checks for safety.

    • Assess riders and determine what type of lesson their skill level indicates.

    • Available 9:30am to 5:15pm on work days (schedule can be flexible).

    • Set up and break down 10x10 pop-up tent.

    • Set up and take down signage.
